La Feria de la ciudad es el punto culminante de las festividades del mayo
cordobés. Teniendo lugar durante la última semana del mes, cada año cientos
de miles de cordobeses y fente de otros lugares se encuentran en el Arenal,
sitio en las afueras de la ciudad en el cual actualmente se celebra este
acontecimiento. Hasta principios de los años noventa, la Feria tuvo lugar en
los Jardines de la Victoria, frente a la Puerta Gallegos. Pero la falta de
terrenos impidió el crecimiento y originó este traslado.

¿QUÉ PUEDES HACER ALLÍ?
La Feria es un acontecimiento de diversión para todas las edades. Desde
atracciones para niños y jóvenes, la oferta de espectáculos abarca corridas de
toros, concursos, conciertos en directo, actuaciones de flamenco...
La Feria de Córdoba se caracteriza en que todas sus casetas son de acceso
libre.
¿CON QUIEN IRÍAS?
Iría acompañada sobre todo de amigos para bailar en las casetas pero
también iría un dia con mi familia y para poder montarme en las atracciones
con mis primos y mi hermano.
COSTUMBRES Y COSAS TÍPICAS
El carácter especial de esta Feria, también lo otorga el vino de la tierra, el
traje tradicional de la mujer (traje de gitana o flamenca) y del hombre
con el típico sombrero cordobés.La tipología del vestido de gitana,cambia
conforme a la moda. Es importante reseñar cómo ha caído en fuerte desuso la
costumbre de vestirse con el traje de cordobesa compuesto por falda corta
y chaquetilla, con el pelo recogido en un moño protegido por una red.
Durante el día, se ve jinetes paseando en magníficos caballos mientras por la
noche en las casetas se baila las canciones del verano y las Sevillanas.
Por normativa, todas las casetas de Córdoba tienen cocina. Esta cocina viene
a servir productos típicos de la gastronomía cordobesa como son
el Salmorejo, el Flamenquín, los Pimientos fritos, las raciones de
jamón o de pescaíto frito.
En cuanto a la bebida tiene especial éxito desde hace ya algunos años el
conocido como rebujito, resultante de la mezcla de vino Manzanilla con un
refresco de gaseosa, como el Sprite, la Casera blanca o el 7UP.

Fair is the highlight of the festivities of May in Cordoba . Taking place during the last week of the month,
every year hundreds of thousands of Cordoba and fente points are in the Arenal ,site on the outskirts of the
city which is currently being held this event . Until the early nineties , the Fair was held in Victory Gardens ,
across from Gate Gallegos. But the lack of land and prevented the growth originated this move .
WHAT CAN YOU DO THERE?

runs bulls , contests , live music , flamenco shows ...
The fair of Cordoba is characterized in that all booths are access is free .
WHO WOULD I GO WITH?
It would be accompanied mostly friends to dance in the stands but also would one day with my
family and I to get on the attractions with my cousins and my brother.
CUSTOMS AND TYPICAL THINGS
The special character of this show , it also gives the local wine , the traditional dress of women ( tight or
Flemish ) and man with typical ''hat cordobés''. La typology Gypsy dress changes according to fashion. It is
important to note how strong has fallen into disuse custom of dressing in costume comprising short skirt
Cordoba and jacket, with her hair in a bun protected by a network.
During the day , it looks magnificent horses riders while riding in the night in the stalls summer songs and
dancing Sevillanas .By law, all have kitchen sheds Córdoba . This kitchen comes serving typical food
products of Cordoba as they are Salmorejo the Flamenquín , fried peppers , rations of ham or fried fish .
As for the drink is especially successful for quite some years known as ''rebujito''.
