I have chosen this part of the history of Asia because my brother told me that story a few weeks had been talking about the invention of firearms in this place, and therefore was an issue that was fairly recent ago.

During the fourteenth and fifteenth centuries developed navigation. Gradually, trade between East Asia, India, Europe and the Middle East took place on the sea routes in Central Asia that could not participate. Disunity in the region after the fall of the Mongol empire trade again for the Route of the Silk dangerous and unpredictable, so slowly this source of wealth was declining.
Even more important was the invention of firearms. The gunpowder revolution allowed settled peoples to defeat the steppe horsemen in open combat for the first time. For the construction of these weapons were essential infrastructure and economy of complex societies, and the nomads were unable to produce. The dominance of the nomads suffered severely since the early fifteenth century sedentary peoples were gradually conquering Central Asia.
The last rule of the steppe was zúngaros, who conquered much of Turkestan and Mongolia. However, how symptom of the changes that were becoming, not lived up of Chinese forces were defeated by the armies of the Manchu Dynasty.
