MATTERS

Por una parte creo que el blog incluye el término "matters"(materias) por que esta asignatura trata varias materias y temas y por otra también significa "importar", y esta asignatura trata de enseñarnos cosas que son importantes para nuestra cultura general.

I think that includes the word "matters" because this subject is about some subject and topics. "Matters" also means "import" and this subject teaches things that are important to our general culture.

OKAVANGO

Okavango es un largo río africano, que nace en la meseta de Bié, en Angola. Este río tiene una gran peculiaridad, es endodorreico,el agua no tiene salida fluvial hacia el mar, desemboca en un desierto. Cada temporada lluviosa vierte tanta agua en el desierto Kalahari que transforma un área árido, en un delta verde capaz de atraer a millones de animales de África.

IN ENGLISH:

Okavango is a long african river, it born in Bié, Angola. This river has a great peculiarity,it is endorreico, it leads to a desert. Every rainy season pours as much water in the Kalahari desert that it transforms an arid area in a green delta able to attract millions of animals in Africa.

Sin esfuerzo, no hay recompensa

Voluntad es un fragmento de una película llamada ''El por qué de las cosas''. En el vídeo podemos ver a un hombre y una piedra, la cual simboliza a un bebé. El hombre, actúa como padre hacia la roca, e intenta que esta diga la sílaba ''PA'', pero aunque pone mucho esfuerzo y voluntad no lo consigue, y decide lanzarla por la ventana. Al caer la piedra al suelo, esta dice la sílaba ''PA'', pero fue lanzada tan lejos que el hombre nunca llegará a saber que la piedra después de todo el empeño que empleó dijo la sílaba.
La roca nos refleja a nosotros mismos, al no mostrar la voluntad y esfuerzo que verdaderamente deberíamos emplear para realizar las cosas que hacemos a cada momento.

''Voluntad' is a fragment of a film which is called ''el por qué de las cosas'' . In the video we can see a man and a stone, which symbolizes a baby. Man acts as a parent to the stone, and he tries that the stone says the syllable ''PA'', he puts a lot of effort and volition but he doesn't get that, and he decides throw the stone out the window.When the stone fall down, it tells the syllable ''PA'' , but it was throw so far that the man will never know that the stone said the syllable.The stone reflects ourselves, by not show the volition and effort that really we should use to do the things we do every moment.

Michael David Rosenberg , ( 17 de mayo de 1984), más conocido como Passenger, es un cantante y compositor británico de folk - rock. Comenzó su camino por la música a principios de la década del 2000. Su apodo proviene de la banda de folk-rock de la que fue el co-fundador, vocalista principal y compositor. 

En 2007 lanzaron en formato banda, el álbum Wicked Man's Rest . Ha lanzado cuatro álbumes (Wide Eyes Blind, Divers & Submarines Love, Flight of the Crow, All the Little Lights)  como solista desde 2009, su más reciente trabajo discográfico (All the Little Lights), lanzado en 2012, se ha convertido en el más exitoso de su carrera. Éste incluye el fantástico "Let Her Go", el cual se ha hecho famoso en gran parte del mundo.

Esta canción es mi favorita NO solo porque me gusta la voz y estilo de passenger, sino porque también me identifico mucho con su estribillo :

La mayoría de las veces no nos damos cuenta de todo lo que tenemos, hasta que lo perdemos, y entonces aprendemos que siempre hay que valorar las cosas que uno posee, porque cuando ya no están, será demasiado tarde.

Sin duda, mi parte favorita de la canción, es esta parte: Love comes slow and it goes so fast

‘’Let her go’’ identifica perfectamente la realidad, se puede querer muchisimo a una persona, tanto a un mejor amigo, familiar etc... Pero todo esto en cuestión de segundos puede desaparecer, siempre quedará el orgullo, que no nos deja ser lo que realmente somos, y dos personas pueden acabar verdaderamente como extraños. Por esta razón, es mi parte favorita, es una frase que me hace reflexionar sobre las personas importantes que constituyen mi vida, para darme cuenta de que no quisiera que se fueran de mi vida JAMÁS.

Most times we don’t realize what we have until we lose it, and then we learn that the things always have value, because when they are gone, it will be too late.

Definitely my favorite part of the song is: Love comes slow and it goes so fast.

'' Let her go'' perfectly identifies reality, one may want a lot a person, both a best friend, family etc ... But all  in seconds can disappear, there will always pride , and two people can  end  like strangers. For this reason it is my favorite part, is a phrase that makes me reflect sbout the important people that make up my life, to realize that I didn't want to leave those people EVER.

Mi lugar favorito es un gran parque llamado ''Los pueblos de América''.
-¿DÓNDE ESTÁ?
Se encuentra en Motril, Granada.
-¿QUÉ PODEMOS HACER ALLÍ?
Podemos ir a patinar con los amigos, pasear, charlar en un banco o sentarnos en un bar que hay justamente en el centro del parque, en el cual se puede disfrutar de maravillosas vistas y diferentes tipos de aves.
-¿POR QUÉ ES TU LUGAR FAVORITO?
Este parque es mi lugar favorito porque me transmite paz, calma, tranquilidad con tan solo mirar sus alrededores, lleno de plantas, árboles y aves.
-¿CUÁNDO LO DESCUBRISTE?¿TE LLEVÓ  ALGUIEN ALLÍ?
Este lugar lo conocí con apenas cumplidos 8 años, aproximadamente. Me lo dio a conocer mi primo, el cual vivía en Barcelona y al mudarse a este lugar fue el sitio que mas le impresionó.
-¿EXISTE UN LUGAR PARECIDO EN  ALGÚN OTRO LUGAR?
He visitado otros parques, pero ninguno con esa belleza y paz que transmite.
-¿A QUIÉN LLEVARÍAS ALLÍ? ¿POR QUÉ?
En un futuro llevaría allí a una persona especial para mí, como un novio, para echar allí una mañana paseando y hacer increíbles fotografías.
-¿QUÉ ES TAN ESPECIAL DE ESTE  LUGAR?
Lo más especial de este lugar es la cantidad de aves que se pueden apreciar, desde pequeños pájaros hasta multicolores aves, y, como dije antes, la paz que transmite.
-RECOMENDACIÓN:
Creo que es un lugar que merece la pena visitar, si alguna vez tienes oportunidad de ir, no dudes en hacerlo, no te arrepentirás. ¡Sus grandes fuentes, pajarillos y paisajes te encantarán!

It's in Motril, Granada.
-WHAT CAN WE DO THERE?
We can go skating with friends,walk,chat on a bench or sit in a bar that's right in the center of the park where you can enjoy wonderful views and different types of birds.
-WHY IS IT YOUR FAVOURITE PLACE?
This park is my favorite place because it gives me peace, calm, tranquility just by looking around, with a lot of plants, trees and birds.
-WHEN DID YOU DISCOVER? DID  ANYBODY TAKE IT THERE?
I met this place when I was eight years.
I knew this place because my cousin,who lived in Barcelona, he moved to this city and it place impressed him.
-IS THERE ANY SIMILAR PLACE  ANYWHERE ELSE?
I have visited other parks, but none with such beauty and peace that transmit. 
-WHO WOULD YOU TAKE THERE? WHY?
In the future I would carry a special person to me, as a boyfriend, for stay one morning to walk and do incredible photographs.
-WHAT IS SO SPECIAL ABOUT THIS  PLACE?
The special thing about this place is the number of birds that can be seen, and as I said before, the peace that transmit.
-RECOMMEND:
I think it is a place worth visiting,  if you ever get a chance to go, don't hesitate, you will not regret. His big fonts, birds and landscapes will delight you!
